Junior and Senior Badminton is offered to our students. They have the opportunity to compete against other Northland schools.
Bream Bay College offers all students a wide variety of basketball tournament throughout the year. These are through Sport Northland and the Year 7-8 Sports Exchanges.
An annual Cross Country competition is held at the start of Term 2. There is an opportunity for the students to then compete in the Zonal and Northland Cross Country championships.
Junior and Senior Cricket is available for both boys and girls. We also enter Southern Zone mid week Cricket competitions.
Students have an opportunity to enter the Northland Equestrian events through the Sports Co-ordinator.
Bream Bay College works closely with the local hockey club to ensure students have the access to local competitions. The school team also competes at the Lower North Tournament which is held in Term 3. The team also has the option to enter the North Island Secondary School Tournament which is in Term 3.
Northland Rugby League offer both year 7-8 and Year 9-10 Rugby League to local schools, depending on the numbers Bream Bay College will enter these tournaments.
We have teams from year 7 to 13. Seniors play in a mid week competition (both girls and boys). Year 7 and 8 play in sports exchanges with other local schools.
We offer the year 9-13 students the opportunity to enter the NSS Futsal Tournament which is held in Whangarei.
Year 9 and 10 students can enter the annual Get to Go Challenge which is held in Whangarei. Activities include Paddleboarding, Mountain Biking and Orienteering.
Bream Bay College offer the students from year 9-13 the opportunity to compete in the Year 9-10 and Year 11-13 Kiwi Tag Tournaments which are run through Northland Rugby League. These are held in Term 2 and 3.
Bream Bay College offers the students of all ages the opportunity to compete at the NSS Motorcross Champs. This is held locally at Ruakaka during Term 2.
Bream Bay College offers the Year 9-13 students the opportunity to enter the annual NSS Mountain Biking Competition, which is held in term 1.
The students play Netball through the Waipu & Takahiwai Clubs. Players also have the opportunity to play in the NSS Tournaments.
Bream Bay College offers all students the opportunity to compete in various age level orienteering competitions. This is run through Sport Northland over Term 1 and 2.
We have a Senior Rugby League team which competes in a mid-week competition in Term 1. Bream Bay College enter a senior league team in the Adam Blair Mid Week Competition in Term 1
We encourage students to participate in our annual Swimming Sports. This is held in week one of Term 1.
We enter the Surfing championships and hold our school Surfing Champs annually. Students can enter the NZ Secondary Schools Surfing Champs in Raglan. E: [email protected]
Bream Bay College enters the Northland Secondary School Senior Touch Tournament which is held in Term 1. We also run a Inter House Touch Tournament.
Year 7 and 8 Ten Pin Bowling Championships are held annually against other Northland Schools.
We offer the year 9-13 students an opportunity to enter the NSS Turbo Touch Tournament which is held in Term 1.
Bream Bay College offers all ages a variety of NSS Volleyball Tournaments to attend. These are held during Term 1 and 4.
Bream Bay College participate in 5 annual Sports Exchanges with Tauraroa Area School, Otamatea High, Huanui, Kaiwaka and Pompallier College - Codes include, Rugby, Netball, Hockey Football.
