The board is very pleased to announce that Julian Cosgrove, current Deputy Principal at Kelston Boys’ High School, has been appointed as our new Principal. We were fortunate to have a strong field of contenders to select from and Julian impressed us with his in-depth knowledge of teaching and learning, his educational leadership experience and engaging personality. In addition to his current role as Kelston Boys’ Deputy Principal, Julian is also the leader of the Kelston Kahui Ako of 8 schools. He was previously a Deputy Principal at Kerikeri High School and has held middle leadership positions at James Cook High School and Wairarapa College. Julian grew up in Wellington where he completed his degree and postgraduate qualification and has spent time living in the United Kingdom. His partner Abby Hope and two daughters, Isabelle aged 6 and Te Paea aged 2, are all excited about this opportunity for the whole family and look forward to establishing themselves in the Bream Bay College community.
