Tena Koutou katoa
I joined the Bream Bay College team in 2008. My teaching experience began in South Auckland as a Primary teacher and then as a secondary teacher in West Auckland where the large amount of my teaching took place. I have held Middle Management and Assistant Principal positions and also held the position of Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) which was extremely satisfying.
I am of Ngati Whatua decent and it is hugely rewarding to be teaching in my own rohe (region). My passion has always been working with students and in particular those students who struggle with learning as a result of their circumstances.  I have huge empathy and a passion to work with those most disaffected.   My portfolio at Bream Bay College is Head of Pastoral Care which as a quick overview is;  Special Needs and Gifted and Talented students, Attendance, Uniform, Whanau placement and Discipline.
Bream Bay College has played a huge role in the education of two of my three children and they thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities they were given. I look forward to meeting you and your son or daughter when you enrol at Bream Bay College.

Sandra Hayward - Senior Manager of Ross House

I have been at Bream Bay College since 2004. I am a Year 7 & 8 Home Room teacher and Senior Manager of Ross House. I believe that children, who are involved with sports and are kept busy, are ultimately more successful in their lives. I encourage all students to be involved in sports or a co-curricular activity, many of which are accessible through the college. I am involved with Waipu Netball both as a coach and umpire. My three girls have all attended Bream Bay College and have become successful young women as a result of the opportunities that they were given while at school. I believe that small community schools like Bream Bay College offers many opportunities for all students, ultimately leading them to being successful citizens in our community.
