Dr Mc Birney Trust – The Doctor McBirney Trust was setup in 1947 in memory of Dr McBirnery and each year since then a student from Waipu District High School/Bream Bay College has received a grant towards tertiary study. Current grants to students are in the order of $1000

100 plus club - Students at Bream Bay College who achieve an NCEA level 1, 2 or 3 at excellence level or achieve more than 100 credits at excellence in their junior diploma are part of the college’s 100+ club. We currently have a member of the public who is donating $4500 per year towards giving each of these recipients $100 for being the club. The number of students has expanded from the initial 19 students to 60 students at years 7 to 10 and 17 students at years 11 to 13. We are looking for another ongoing sponsor or for contributions towards a fund where the interest can be used to fund the $100 awards

Sports gear - Any donation made to this category will be put in a designated fund to purchase sporting gear for student use in PE or at lunchtimes, as and when needed, until the money has been spent

Music Equipment - Any donation made to this category will be put in a designated fund to purchase musical instruments and/or equipment for students use in the music department or at lunchtimes, as and when needed, until the money has been spent

School Van - The college has purchased a second brand new minivan. $53,000 plus GST. If you would like to contribute to the cost of this van any donation will be put against this cost
