Why us?
Bream Bay College is a very good school as our Education Review
Report (ERO) report will attest to. We have an innovative
Restorative Behaviour Management system, excellent I.C.T
programmes, warm and friendly students and very good academic
tracking systems. Our NCEA results are above the national
averages. What makes us unique is we are a Year 7 to 13 College
of 450 students situated in a beautiful area near the seaside.
There is a very wide range of co-curricula activities available
ranging from sailing, surf life-saving, surfing, sport through
to snow-skiing on our annual Mt. Ruapehu trip. Last year a
large group travelled to Europe for a sporting exchange. There
are regular curriculum trips to Fiji and an exchange visit to
Japan every 2nd year. The staff are friendly and dedicated, and
able to give the personal one-on-one help that comes with
smaller classes and a close-knit school community. One of our
recent International students, Midori Matsumura, has even become
a New Zealand citizen and is doing very well in her tertiary
studies as a Photographer.
